Providing a fun place to be a part of the action! Innovatively providing inviting activities and materials, The Magic Paintbrush Project creatively engages resulting in an experience which focuses on abilities leaving a lasting impression for all. Whether you are a family, agency or interested community member, we can creatively meet your needs.
The Magic Paintbrush Project provides creative workshops that complement services for individuals, families, and professionals facing the challenges of a special needs diagnosis. Combining goals and creativity; our workshops are designed to meet the needs of individuals of all ages with physical or developmental disabilities, and their caregivers.
Innovatively providing inviting activities and materials that encourage the special needs community, The Project creatively connects those we serve. Serving individual families, agencies, integrative programs and classrooms, The Magic Paintbrush Project has successfully served thousands of individuals leaving a lasting impression for all.
Our Exciting Workshops Encourage:
- An inviting experience which includes the whole family!
- Fun and interactive socialization with peers and siblings!
- A unique focus on Ability which draws outside of the box!
- A place that fosters self confidence, creativity and focuses on every person’s abilities!
Our Programs
- Individual/Family Workshops - Workshops are conducted in our studio and in regional centers for individual families addressing their specific goals and needs. Each session is tailored to meet the needs of the individual family, and may include a variety of materials and activities.
- Family Support Groups - Meeting monthly, there are multiple active groups, each with its own kind of style. These groups offer the family a creative peer environment. Each group has a different age range and family members are all encouraged to participate. Weeknight and Saturday groups are available. A session schedule can be found on our website.
- Conversation Pieces - Meeting weekly, this support group is for parents and caregivers only. A session schedule can be found on our website (www.magicpaintbrushproject.org)
- “On The Move” – Providing workshops to schools, agencies and the special needs community on the road in their neighborhoods. These workshops focus on classroom and agency needs, staff inclusion, and community building.
- Education and Support of Area Professionals – We offer innovative and exciting staff training and development workshops for continuing education opportunities to area agencies and school districts.
- Education for Facilitators & Volunteers – A comprehensive training and development program for volunteers and staff. This program provides consistency in delivered workshops and services. Certification program is available. Graduate placements and Undergraduate internships are available.
- Licensed Programming for Agencies – Our licensing program assists agencies and organizations who would like to bring “The Magic Home” to their region.
The Magic Paintbrush Project’s innovative programming is unique in its design has served over 14,000 workshop participants since its inception in 2006.
